The Pipers Glory is about a third of the way through editing. Should be published this summer (2018).

Here are a few excerpts to whet your appetite:

"In legend Dunvegan was once the home of Morag of Dunvegan.......... The tune was allegedly composed by a young man left on Skye by his sweetheart who had emigrated to America."

Pitlochry, Scotland 1878........

"He dressed like a Texan. He wore tall top cowboy boots and a broad brimmed ten-gallon Stetson most of the time. He had several well-made Western suits tailored in Ft. Worth, which he wore when the occasion called for it."

Inverness, Scotland 1899

The Northern Meeting

""Kilts?" Billy asked.

"Hell yes!" Pate replied."

Pacific Ocean

240 miles west of San Diego

"Frank Simmons stood at the wheel of The Rae......morning sky twinkled off the sea. The weather was fine! A 10 knot wind off the starboard beam......."

"They broke the embrace......sweetly held her chin in one hand, looking wistfully into her eyes......delicately brushed her bottom lip with his thumb."

Mescalero, NM

"Their orders......protect her at all costs and deliver...... safe and sound....."

"Troopers from the Texas Highway Patrol had also been alerted and stationed at the Texas / New Mexico line to provide additional security........."

Thanks Y'all! Later!

As an experienced blue water sailor in the Gulf of Mexico, one of the things I found necessary to learn about was rum. Here are my findings after years of exhaustive research.

1.Best rums are dark.

2. Rum goes good with lemonade, fruit juice, or Coca Cola among other things.

3. Best rums are made in Barbados or Jamaica.

4. British Navy Pusser's Rum is pretty dang good. It was a crucial element in building an Empire. The British Admiralty first served rum daily to its Royal Navy sailors for over 300 years until the ration was abolished in 1970.

There are only three brands of rum I drink, they are:

1. Cockspur Rum from Barbados produced by Hanschell Inniss Ltd. since 1884.

2. Pusser's Rum British Navy Rum made from the same blend of five West Indian rums as the British Admiralty issued to sailors.

3. Myer's Original Dark Rum produced in Jamaica since 1879.

This is why sailors drink rum.

All of these rums have at various times and occasions,

served me well. I'm a simple guy, three options

are enough for anybody (my opinion).

Thanks for checking me out!

Your pal,

Sam
